Dr. Shirin Khanideh: Warm, Empathic, and Helpful
Welcome to my Psychotherapy Practice in Irvine, California. I am dedicated to helping people form healthy, productive, and satisfying lives and relationships. I understand it might be difficult for some people to make a decision about seeking professional help from a psychologist. Sometimes, people who are trying as hard as they can to get through a rough time — family troubles, relationship issues, depression or problems in school — find that they just can't cope by themselves. They may be feeling sad, angry, or overwhelmed by what's been happening, and need help sorting out their feelings, finding solutions to their problems, or just feeling better. That is when I can help. I provide a welcoming environment designed to assist individuals as they negotiate the often unique and difficult challenges and transitions they encounter during difficult times.
As an emerging psychologist in Orange County, I pride myself in eagerly wanting to first listen to your problems, then formulating a solution to help you or your loved ones live a fulfilling life. In my extensive studies and experiences I have gained tremendous amount of insight into utilizing conventional and new methodologies to achieve contentment. Please call me so that I may help you.

My Background & Qualifications
In my approach I draw inspiration from multiple theories and perspectives - psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral techniques, brief therapy models, and relational theories. While my therapeutic approach could best be described as eclectic, I also focus on the working relationship between client and therapist.
I approach each new client as someone who is a unique individual. I help them recognize factors that impact their current life situation. I may serve as an educator, helping them learn what are realistic expectations for someone at their developmental level or learn characteristics of certain disorders and their course of treatment...
